We planted a few plants for my parents the week before last, partly as a future privacy screen. Japanese cherry, lilac, and pea shrub. Elsewhere, my wife wanted a Judas tree. We also bought 2 planter boxes that match the granite wall well and planted them with photinia. They serve as a fall protection for the stairs because of the little one, later they will be moved to other places.

What are these little trees called again? The ones that stick out so nicely in the middle?

That should also be a Euonymus, a Japanese spindle shrub. I have the variegated variety in a creeping form in all my beds as a ground cover plant.

Yes, there are already the chicks! Our little house is also quite... um... generous  Just now I watched how the stupid cat, which also always plows through my raised bed (and in...) tried to snatch a chick. This time it went well. Starlings can also imitate ringtones excellently. At a friend’s place, the husband regularly jumps up from the terrace and runs inside because he thinks the phone is ringing. But it’s the starlings. Great show, we really had to laugh about that
