My bell pepper stays outside in a sheltered spot. They are on our balcony, so ground cold is not really an issue there.

I have a recipe for the green peperonis/chilies. If you harvest early, it makes sense to make a green paste. I made it on Saturday, and it tastes very delicious.

@ YPG Oh please give me the recipe.

Mine are standing outdoors and not in a sheltered spot.

I'm not sure if the coolness still benefits them.

Or simply bring it into a bright, cooler place? A bright garage is suitable if you have one. Attic, etc...

The green sauce with me is far tastier than the one made from red peppers :)

It's called Sriracha sauce... you can find it on Google at Toastenstein.

    [*]500 g peppers (hot)
    [*]100 g cane sugar
    [*]6-8 cloves of garlic
    [*]1/2 bunch of parsley
    [*]200 ml apple cider vinegar

I made it with a kitchen machine and only had 350 grams of peppers. Chilies also work of course. You can also add bell peppers to make it milder.
Chop the ingredients and boil with the apple cider vinegar and sugar for 10-15 minutes. I also added salt. Cook without a lid, possibly longer, then put into small jars that have been rinsed with hot water, etc. For me, it does not need boiling, turning upside down creates a vacuum.
The red sauce (for that I also have a simple recipe with very little sugar) is by far hotter for me...

I also processed green bell peppers separately with parsley as a pesto with olive oil. However, I would consume that relatively quickly due to the moisture.

The bell peppers/chillies/pepperoni are in the garden bed, not in a pot. Because I rarely use the watering can, their roots grow quite deep. Digging them up to pot them probably won’t work.

Thanks. It will probably be a mix of pepperoni (almost as mild as bell peppers) and chili (which will balance it out).
