Thanks to forced leave (quarantine), I was able to let off steam outside after a few days of cutting. Not visible, to the right of the plant troughs I still have just under 30cm to the border, which I will use to build a kind of sheet pile wall with stakes and "dock" it to the plant troughs to widen the raised bed to about 65cm with almost 13m length.

Unfortunately, I probably overdid it a bit, so I am feeling worse again right now. But the rest is supposed to be clad with the narrow wooden boards at the beginning of the week.

Actually, you would have gotten a "like" from me ;-) but for pedagogical reasons I don't want to praise you for having exceeded your health limits. ;-)

It's quite similar to what I still have ahead of me over 17m length. What wood do you use? Douglas fir? I have now stocked up on rhombus slats made of Siberian larch and am curious when and how it will turn out.

On my property side, these are 60cm long Bankirai leftover pieces (1€/each). Towards the neighbor, it will probably be pine with about 4cm thickness. Wood oil and dimpled foil hopefully increase the lifespan to over 10 years. Alternatively, I could get larch as slab wood at similar price per square meter. The 3x3cm construction timbers are also Bankirai. Everything screwed together in V2A...

When I look at it, we still have quite a bit ahead of us :-) our terrace will be finished in the next few days. And something positive for a change. The company got the stones 25% cheaper and it will be correspondingly cheaper. Just like with the driveway...

I think it's really decent of your company to pass the savings on to you. Really great, I'm happy for you.
