That looks really great! I am way too clumsy for hammocks

But my husband hung a swing in the outdoor seating area It’s really fun

I just had to clear the outdoor seating area. Up in the roof (a quarter of the outdoor seating area is bricked up to the top, there is a kind of shed) black redstarts are nesting. The little ones are having their first free flight attempt day today. Earlier, one landed next to me on the bench, no idea who looked more surprised, the little bird or me

There’s still a bit of work waiting for me in the bed. Yesterday and today I planted out pretty much all the seedlings, sowed carrots, cut lettuce, parsnips, winter shallots, and radish, and also planted a kilo of onions and pole beans around the bean trellis. As every year, I’m once again very curious to see how the gardening year goes.

The man of the house likes to tinker quite a bit and we complement each other well in that. I say what I want and how I want it, he thinks it through and then builds it. I just have to paint it afterwards.

Otherwise, I’ve just tried to loosen up the plateau we have behind the house (dry stone garden clay soil) and remove weeds so that I can first "plant" it with different flower mixes until I have made a detailed plan on how exactly it should look and what should be planted there next year. It is definitely more attractive than the mess and covers the weeds for now.

We also have [Hausrotschwänze] here, but so far I have only ever seen two. They might also be nesting nearby.

My early cucumbers are suddenly sickly. I'm not even sure if I will plant them.

Hi everyone I’ve spent the last two days milling, collecting stones, and moving “soil” What kind of dirty ground is this anyway Now I have to get topsoil and fine sand and apply a cover layer again... Set mowing edge stones, lay gravel, and pave the areas by the wall. A raised bed is to be built there with the same length as my shrubs above, so 9m long... and a second Robi should find its home in the bed I’m also looking for shade grass for the area, who can recommend any?!?

Do you have irrigation? Lawn mower robot? Then a lawn with a high Poa Supina content would be the right choice. Grows great in the shade.

So the big brother is going to get a little one too, yes. Unfortunately, I don't have irrigation... somehow I have a conscience issue wasting water on the lawn while there are people in the world who have none, even though I know how important water is for a beautiful lawn. But the high Supina content also really means work; in the Robi forum, someone has some, it looks really strong, but it practically drinks up the water.
