We actually had a good harvest last year with everything except the Hokkaido pumpkins. Cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, Big Max, all kinds of fruit and herbs. Eggplants and whatever else we had again. We had a poor harvest with the hazelnuts, but they are only in their 2nd year.

However, we will start again in February to grow some plants in advance. Especially tomatoes.

For lawn fans who want a flat surface. And want to sand over grown grass.

Search for videos lawn Level rake.

You can build this tool yourself for about 20 euros.

Especially by removing weeds, a few spots with holes have remained, which I will try to even out with this.

I made slits with the spade before sanding, sand on top, distributed with the rake.
8 weeks of ugly grassy area and no water stands on it anymore.

It will probably become necessary for the area in front of the house as well. Since November it has just been mud. Will the grass do better?

In spring, we also have to invest money and time in the lawn at my mother-in-law's - the mole feels far too comfortable there. It's too boring for him on the meadow next door at our place. Sigh.

I finally equipped the seedling greenhouse in the living room. Tomatoes, chili, greenhouse cucumbers, cauliflower, celeriac, kohlrabi, and parsley are already getting started. I’m hoping for a good gardening season

Already?
Mother and mother-in-law say it should still wait too soon.
For me, flowers are just starting to grow now.

Yep. I always start at the beginning of February. At the end of March or beginning of April, the seedlings then move into larger pots in the greenhouse. Here in [Mittelfranken], the timing fits quite well with the weather. Especially with chili, paprika, and tomato, that head start is necessary.
