Oh, about espalier trees. I think they are super stylish. Our gardener now has hedges, I believe maple, available in espalier form. The whole thing is really expensive.

The gardener comes regularly (2x a year) when he is nearby, tightens the "net" and the branches and expands the structure.

After all the tips here, we have aerated the lawn... What can I say? Uhm... so far it looks very... scruffy  But it's amazing how much dried stuff we pulled out. Soil improver (according to our landscape gardener, world improver and: more is better) is already applied. I am very curious what will become of the scruffy area but I have hope :D

Stay calm and give it time, ideally you fertilize one week before airing, that helps with regeneration.

The strawberry season is just around the corner:

The strawberries are amazing this year anyway!

But my peonies still don't like it:

This is a late variety, but this late?

The regular roses are already starting to bloom:

My Willi is already going strong (David Austin, William Shakespeare)

And Julia is as beautiful as expected:

(Julia's Rose) A tea rose with a very extraordinary coloring. Here in the picture it almost looks too pink; in reality, the color is more parchment-like. Beautiful! I saw this rose and had to have it. Bought bare-rooted and it’s already spoiling me with a bloom in the first year. EXEMPLARY! The peonies could take a leaf out of its book!!! They moved with us and are simply being difficult.

Also, our flower meadow in front of the house is blooming diligently:

But completely different from last year:

Apparently, sunflowers don’t want to come this year – too bad... But we do have daisies!
