Hm mosquitoes would be annoying - and dish soap in the water contradicts the purpose of such a [Tüpel]. Do you have an alternative idea? A garden without water is not possible and since my stream won’t work (for now), I thought of some kind of mini thing. Maybe a tiny solar pump inside, they don't go into moving water.

Just give it a try. There really aren't as many insects as there used to be.

What kind of "design elements" do you have in the garden?

Like a pond, herb spiral, any containers or decorative stakes? We have now landscaped the front garden after 1.5 years, and to me it is too bare. Super modern is not really my thing, but many decorative elements seem too kitschy and somehow too much.

We're just getting started, it's still relatively clean. In the larger garden area, we had a stone surface with a fountain stone installed directly adjacent to the terrace.

Near the front door, there is a soakaway shaft, on whose cover now stand three sections of tree trunks of different heights (between 40 and 70 cm high, each about 35 cm in diameter), on the trunks stand an ivy in a pot and a windbreak made of [Edelrost].

I had a few of the stones for the wall specially given to me, they are now in the planting bed and are loved by various insects in the evening sun. Otherwise, there is only some deadwood (I am still hoping for a larger piece of trunk someday) and birdbaths/water spots. Oh, and fairies live in the herb bed, there are front doors and garden chairs for

The neighbors and we share a rose arch as a passage from here to there and from there to here under roses. Forged from wrought iron, 10mm solid, no cheap Chinese stuff, from a forge near Lübeck. K.
