How long are the boards supposed to withstand the weather?

Our rabbits are almost eating the hair off our heads. Meanwhile, the sparrows have also discovered the enclosure and have breakfast with the rabbits as soon as there is dry food. Fortunately, there is still enough dandelion and other treats in the meadow.

Very long. They are impregnated accordingly :D

Update garden project "Slope" As previously reported, I am currently working on our slope in the garden. The boards to hold back the wood chips have been installed. Additionally, weed fabric was laid in the upper 2/3. The boards have since been optimized. Now there is still a bit of wood chips missing. Another project concerns our garden shed. Since the weather is suitable this week, it will be re-roofed.

The boards will hardly last more than 2-3 years, or how is this intended? Wood chips and foil surely will not be friends either.

Because they slide over time. The birds settle in, peck, dig around, and then it slides.

Because soil and wood are anything but ideal, the impregnation doesn't last forever and then the wood rots. The wood chips slip off you, I have tried that too before.
