Of course I'm joining in again :D.. nature is really going full throttle right now.. chives, peonies, and irises are especially beautiful this year. Things are a bit difficult in the vegetable garden.. I had to sow the carrots a second time, and beetroot, bush beans, and corn also have many gaps. My sown cucumbers don't really want to grow either. Maybe it was just too cool? Cabbage and kohlrabi are doing well.. I wrapped the stems of the plants with sheep's wool... so far it helps. I've harvested plenty of spinach, prepared it, and frozen it. The first strawberries are red.

I think it is too cold. Seeds do not germinate, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini look healthy, but do not really grow. The peppers have recovered well after the fungus gnat infestation and have at least visibly become stronger. I now have aphid infestation on 4 tomatoes. I haven’t had that before. After some nights with 2-3 degrees, I am glad that the plants have not completely died. Especially with cucumbers a miracle, and the peanut is still alive. I only planted the beans for the project last weekend. It took ages until they came up. As long as I didn’t know what I would get, I did not plant any others. Although I never plant before the Eisheiligen.

I am a complete failure when it comes to plants and gardening. I really enjoy looking at it at other people’s places and think it’s great, but I lack the drive to deal with it myself and keep at it regularly. At least I once bought a book on the topic of „Homefarming“, I would like to have some fruit and vegetables at this house, this time I have more space. But it will only be relevant next year anyway, until then I will let myself be enchanted by your photos.
