Outside in the pot, I get everything hardy through. Inside, a disaster. With the [Folientunnel], I only see disadvantages.

Exactly! Polytunnels are not meant to keep mature plants through the winter.

Read:

Your lilac is hardy and can also survive a few years in a pot. Watering is important. YOU CAN put a polytunnel or a wrap on it, shield it from wind or provide shade. But you can also leave it be. A hardy shrub does not need anything that a seedling needs as a head start.

We recently got an old cast iron bathtub. I would like to use it in the garden. To have some privacy while doing so, I thought about how to implement that. My program SweetHome3D was very helpful again… I am still pondering how to handle the warm water.. I would also like to use it at cooler temperatures. If anyone has ideas, please step forward..

No matter how you implement it in the garden, if you want to use it even at colder temperatures, you have to ensure that the water is continuously heated. Otherwise, it cools down faster than you sit inside – especially if the tub is made of cast iron.

So before I would start thinking about the design, I would first clarify the technical implementation. I can't imagine that it will be easy. Or you limit yourselves to using it only as a paddling pool in the summer; the water will then warm up quickly when the sun shines on it, but it requires no technical sophistication.

What is going on here in the forum.. first my text changes as if by magic.. and now all images are displayed in XXL… ts..ts..ts.. Warm water shouldn’t be constantly running.. it would be a nice-to-have if it was just warmed up a bit before the bath.. I like the idea of a bath stove, for example.. then warm water could also flow afterwards.. but even old used ones are really expensive right now..
