I don't have many photos of Garden 2.0 yet. But I found this funny because the same cat is still sitting in the second front yard. The rest of the property still gives me headaches. In front of the house, we're relatively far along or have a plan. But on the side, down the slope, I unfortunately have excavated soil, nothing grows properly there. In the fall, I might put around 1-2 rows of planting stones around it and add some topsoil, just about 20cm or so, so that plants can grow there and not just the thistles. In Lower Saxony I was spoiled; our excavated soil was the best soil. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here. And then there is the entire width of the property behind the house, where we have a fairly steep slope. We had considered gradually covering it with ground cover plants and shrubs. But that's not a 100% solution—I don’t look down there anyway. The neighbor would probably be the only one happy about that. The optimal solution would actually be to level and fill it along the entire length so that we have as much soil as possible at one height, or at least only slightly sloping, not steep. But I don’t even want to think about how much it would cost to have something like that done. It’s 30 meters in length and probably 2-3 meters high we would need to fill. Although I’m only estimating that. A neighbor offered to measure it sometime soon.
