You have a lot of pavement in front of the house. Do you have any plans for it?

The snails definitely like this stinkhorn :D Thanks for the chuckle at lunchtime... I’ve heard they go away quite well with lime (just be careful with the plants around it). Otherwise, dig out the mycelium over a large area. Good luck!

Which garden shears do you swear by, e.g. for roses? Felco 2 or another product? My father gave me a Felco 2 years ago, now it is gone, no longer available.

Also for thicker branches, Felco 231 or 211?

Since we have a complicated, i.e. not clear, garden, I have for exactly THAT reason nothing expensive in terms of scissors, but all the more of them. All cheap, but they have been doing their job for years, because the cheap kind keeps reappearing :p

The Felcos are really great, the Kurumi pruning shear is a pleasure. Of course, roses also grow beautifully when cut with very simple scissors. Fiskars are already very good and still quite affordable, in my opinion. With us, high-quality garden tools that all family members then use do not find a good home. Too often something is left out in the rain, which already challenges my patience with inexpensive tools.
