With us, everything is about 4-5 weeks later. Still, something is always blooming.

Slowly everything is starting to move in the garden... Still, we are about 3-4 weeks behind (compared to the last 2 years).
Due to the constant rain in April and May, however, our problem child - the maple - has made a great start! In the planting year 2019, it unfortunately suffered some drought damage because of the hot summer and planting stress. Hopefully, that is over now...
But nothing is blooming yet in the perennial bed. The sage should be the first to start in the next few days.
Today it’s time for the Chelsea Chop. But some plants don’t have any buds I could cut off yet. So everything will probably be a bit slower this year. The Echinacea (at least 10 different plants) has 1 (ONE) bud so far. Crazy! Last year I already pruned dozens at the end of May!

Same here. Last year I never had the heating on in May. Unfortunately, this year still. Such cold weather, no wonder.

I like your patio furniture! Do you have more information about it, please?

We now have a terrace. It became rough concrete stones, still a bit dirty from the slurry in the photo. And around the house, we had a strip paved so you can walk around easily. After that was done, I started thinking about a first "garden design." I know I'm not Picasso. :D Feel free to give feedback or suggestions. The drawn-in "plants" are just placeholders for now; we don't yet know exactly what we want to plant. The stairs on the slope might move a bit further to the right (?). The beds and bed shapes are also just initial ideas. We'll see. Around the beds, I'd like to lay borders with some clinker bricks. Maybe also raise the terrace border by a few centimeters with nice stones.

From this perspective, it looks idyllic. What is behind the wall?
