Today I dug up a wild lilac from the undeveloped neighboring plot. I already transplanted the right, taller shoot last year, now the smaller one. If it makes it, it will become part of the privacy screen to exactly that property. Before I'm branded a thief here: the buyer said I should take whatever I need. If I had an excavator now, I would dig up completely different calibers... ;)

Lead time can you give me a recommendation here:

I would like to place a few plants on the roof terrace.
The plants should be able to overwinter outside in pots and above all also serve as privacy screens in winter, so they should be evergreen all year round.

A height of 1.50-2.00m would be ideal.

What do you use for something like this?

I think bamboo is great for something like this. In a container, you don't have to worry about "spreading." Advantages: frost-hardy (depending on the variety up to -20°), evergreen, looks nice, meditative rustling in the wind. Disadvantage: needs a lot of water, too much sun is not good for most varieties, doesn't like too much wind either. My current neighbors in the penthouse basically have a bamboo grove on their rooftop terrace. It always makes me envious when I look at it through the stairwell window.
