Shocked because the last time I saw the hedge it was maybe two years old. It wasn’t such a monster, nice spotlights in the ground would have had a nice effect. Something like that would be way too much for me, not to mention the work. I also have bamboo, but not like that and not 6m tall.

It probably bothers me also because it's "just" a hedge. I plant differently, with layers, so for me there would still be something IN FRONT of the hedge, lower, etc. It probably also bothers me that wall; I'm not used to sitting on the terrace and looking at such a tall wall. To the right of the bamboo is a pool (from the previous owners).

Just saw it on Pro 7... Poisons in our food... Oh man, that's terrible... That makes me love my fruit/vegetable garden even more...

Yes, although I think it's a bit exaggerated there. Sure, there are pollutants everywhere, etc., but jogging once in the city is probably worse. People are living longer than ever before and getting older and older. Probably the knowledge about the pollutants is more harmful (through psychosomatics) than actually having them in the body. And that television is unhealthy is no news ;)

Of course, we are exposed to pollutants everywhere. It is still sensible to avoid contact and consumption without panic. Note for self-cultivation: good soil, know the soil (for example, on a former chicken area, the nitrate content in vegetables is alarmingly high), do not use every color and foil for raised beds... just because it grows in the garden and is not sprayed does not mean it is "organic."

Whether fruit, vegetables or sausage, our food is sprayed, treated with additives and literally manipulated. (Milk ice cream without milk fat, but with vegetable fat). In my opinion, it is not possible without plant protection and fertilizer. Somehow enough food has to be produced. However, anyone who thinks strawberries can be transported across half of Europe for days without aids considers [Fruchtzwerge] to be fresh fruit. Anyone who has their own apples knows how leathery and sometimes rotten a stored apple looks in March or April. Such a thing is no longer saleable. Everything must be cheap, available 12 months a year, without visual defects, always tasting the same. As often, the middle ground is missing. Limits must be adhered to. If this is not possible, then the product has no place on the market.
