Actually, I am insensitive. At the moment, I am thin-skinned and my fuse is as long as a hand grenade.

Well, it can really be annoying and I don't understand people who play music loudly in the garden. We also have music on but it is set so quietly that I basically can't hear anything after about 5 steps. If there's a party, I can understand that, but not every day. However, we also talk relatively quietly in the garden. I don't want to blast music and at the same time I don't want curious neighbors. But I know from painful experience that neighbors can be terrible. I have such neighbors myself now, on both sides. That's also why I have my music on in the garden to be distracted. I don't have any advice except try not to fixate on it. As I said, I know it myself and the smallest sound is enough to make you aggressive if you already "have it in for" the neighbors.

Why should it be different for him? Why should he, if you yourself say that it’s annoying?

Same with us: my husband and I are two people and introverted as a couple. If we are loud, then it’s situational inside the house. But not outside.

Recently while camping: we are lying on the lounger – next door some guests arrive. Then they are four. Loud laughter, beers and sparkling wine. Lengthy conversations about the brother-in-law’s cheating, her behavior, and so on and so forth. Reminded me of Mario Barth.
I thought my husband was asleep. But when he giggled to me, "I’ll go get us some Fassbrause now, then we’ll have top-notch ruckus from the front row," we amused ourselves for over an hour listening to their conversations. Eventually, I nodded off :D

I would first have a proper measurement done, it doesn’t cost a fortune and you have some facts on the table. No subjective feelings
