You can see it quite well here… there is also a piece of wood at the bottom, the stake is inserted into it. Together it holds perfectly. The pieces of wood are screwed onto the buckets.

Very cool idea, the house wall also works well for radiant heat (with ETICS certainly not particularly, with bricks definitely the best). If you were to connect the two slats orthogonally with a crossbar, it might be even better.

We chose the location mainly because the tomatoes are quite well protected from rain there (east side).

A few more pictures..

By the way, the cultivated blueberries also grow in pots… with nicely acidic soil. The first tomatoes are ripening.. but they still need a lot of sun. The grapes are usually ripe by mid-August. Currant harvest: 4.5 kg … from 3 plants!

Steffi, I love your pictures and your garden design! You really have it under control, but I also think you have above average space (big garden) - right?

If you ever come to Münsterland, I would love to invite you for wine, beer and grilled food in exchange for a "garden design" ;)

On Saturday, the turf will finally be laid at my place, afterwards I will show new pictures of the fence and the "garden". So far, mainly lilac and a little bit of other plants have been planted, maybe I am impatient, but it can still become much more colorful. The hedge will only come in August, here we want to use yew.

Wow Steffi, everything is still far from ripe with you. Baby grapes are still really tiny on the vine, blueberries are just starting to show a hint of purple
