Who does one get something like this done by? And approximately how much does it cost?

It was done for us by Lindlar Grauwacke Manufaktur, I don't know the costs, we had many walls and a slope support built on the property. I particularly like the idea that the stone in the wall is exactly the same Grauwacke as the foundation of our house and comes from the local quarry only 4km away. There are landscaping companies that handle stone very well and are specialists in stone processing. Always check references beforehand, the differences are considerably greater than the price variations.

I have ornamental alliums in my garden since this year. Since I have no experience with them, I want to tap into your collective knowledge: do you cut off the spent flower heads, or is it like with tulips, meaning you wait until everything has withered and the bulb has drawn everything back from the foliage?

The spent flowers still look quite nice with their green bulbs, but when they wither, that is surely no longer a pleasant sight.

You bend the flowers so that they do not produce seeds. Then wait as with the tulips.

Already too late - they already have seeds and I actually don’t want to snap them off, the little green buds still look cute. Well, but probably you have to do it so that not too much energy is spent on seed production...
