Looks good. But.....planted too densely and far too little volume in the bed. Out of the tightness, into the soil! And leave more space (significantly more!).

Thank you very much for the hints. For your information: I already gave up my green thumb at birth... I wanted immediate privacy screening and at my age I can’t wait anymore ;-). The planter boxes are open at the bottom and completely filled with soil. Since the terrace is raised about 30 cm at that spot, I would have either had to buy huge plants or wait a long time, and I didn’t want or couldn’t do either. At the edge of the parking space there is a lot of back support and gravel underneath. Additionally, cables run to the terrace (electricity). The shrubs wouldn’t have been well placed there either. It is true that they are planted a bit too close together; I might thin them out a bit if it gets too much. I hope the clay/loess soil underneath prevents moisture from draining too quickly. And of course I have to water them. The hedge facing the street anyway, I’ll do that at the same time.

This year there are plenty of frogs again. And maybe some of the little ones will make it.

For your container planting, you need a green thumb. Normally, these plants take care of themselves: they draw their water from the soil (except, of course, in the planting year) and grow independently. Possibly sprinkle some horn shavings over them in spring.
Then they develop normally and grow in width in their clump. By the third year, they should have formed about 3-4 times the circumference in the clump.

You probably won't even notice that because the individual plant lacks the soil volume to spread out. You planted bedding plants there.
They cannot draw nutrients because they lack space in the tightness and have to share these nutrients. You would always have to fertilize afterwards. Diseases multiply due to the closeness, and to recognize that, you need a green thumb.
If you want to remove some in autumn, the roots are already so entangled with each other that they won't remain undamaged. Your planting containers as well.
Your flowerpots are good for small plants.
If you want immediate privacy screening, you would have to go for an already 180 cm planting height or initially set up a privacy screen. For the latter, 40? cm width would also suffice.

Hello everyone.

As a newcomer, I’m just boldly – but hopefully recognizably friendly – popping in here.

With my eternal problem child. The garden.

Through repression, I have already learned a lot about how good some weeds are. Seen that way, it’s almost important *clears throat

Here are a few impressions, I’ve been at it for three years.......

I’m very happy about feedback and some unexpected tips

Many greetings, Katadria

Hello everyone,
I bought this colleague yesterday, the pot was very heavy and apparently well watered. How should I care for it so that it stays nice until Sunday? Should I open the paper and water it daily? Or can it just stand in the light until Sunday?
