Bamboo, lawn, thuja and "consorts" are not fundamentally bad just because they have little added value for our wildlife. These plants can beautify gardens and increase their usability. However, if thuja-bordered lawns line up in densely populated new development areas, gardens are kept "clean" like living rooms and trees have to give way because they cause "dirt," then the environment there is in a bad state even without gravel gardens. It is - as always - a question of dosage.

Our garden already looks a bit autumnal.. In the middle, the Frigo strawberry bed… planted in July… they are still bearing sweet little fruits.

Your garden is still colorful compared to mine. It's much more autumnal there.

Today buried heaps of flower bulbs …. Since I have no idea about such things, meaning about gardening in general, I first planted the Malva and Silver bed from [gräfin Zeppelin] last year…. Very nicely started…. Family then sent me a huge flower bulb package unsolicited 2 weeks ago … I've now buried them all (-:

Just Google it. I think you can manage that.

Hehe, silly goose.
When I google, Phyllostachys causes problems.
Fargesia forms clumps and doesn’t cause any.
That's why I'm surprised by such a statement.
But if you don’t know anything conclusive about it, then it was just another time the making important of a clueless person with urban legends.
