We stocked up on furniture from Stern back then and they are great!

There are also chic and straight-lined ones.

With garden furniture, it’s the same as with the rest of the furniture: everyone, whether large furniture stores, the Danish B., and regional garden centers: many affordable items without long-term value, but all (mainstream) nice to look at. Online shops are no different.

I would simply drive to accessible shops: regional stores and garden centers, smaller furniture stores possibly with single pieces. Quality and design really take precedence over price there. And comfort has to be tried out.

I am currently also looking into new garden furniture. Since we first want to tackle a permanent roof for the terrace, I am not yet sure whether the furniture will be purchased this year or only next year.

Still, a question:
We have looked around a bit and we like furniture made of stainless steel with Textilene covers best. Our favorite in the store for chairs was the One series by Zebra.
There, the armrests are made of teak, as is often the case.

We would then like to leave the furniture standing under the roof all year round, in winter at most covered with a protective cover.
The roof is open on three sides, only protected on the house side (south terrace).
Do I have to worry that the wood will be damaged pretty quickly? Would a chair without wood be more sensible in that case?

Wood is a very durable material if it is maintained. Oiling the Teak armrests once at the beginning of the season takes 10 minutes. Leaving them under the roof is of course also a very good protection.

Pro wood in the armrest! You stick to plastic, you burn yourself on metal if the chair gets sun.

The biggest enemy of wood, besides various pests, is above all the sun. We have a wooden door on the garage on the south side and one on the north. We have to paint the south side every year. On the north side, not at all.

I really like round shapes. That's why attached is a photo of my favorite combo, even if maybe in different colors.
