Ah, not that much after all. I thought the 1400 sqm were the remainder.

A Husqvarna robo mower has been working reliably for years at my parents' and the lawn looks exceptionally nice. There are also a few trees in it, which it recognizes well and mows cleanly around. At first I was worried that all the clippings would stick to your shoes when you walk over, but that is not the case. In winter, it is put somewhere warm for longer battery operation and cleaned. From my point of view, the king among lawn mowers is an Allett cylinder mower with over 100 cuts per meter. Disadvantage: the thing is already as expensive as a robo in the smallest version and has to be operated by a person. I would still take a decent robo myself.

My bosses each also have a Robi from Husqvarna and fairly large gardens and are completely satisfied with it. We also have a 1400 sqm garden and will also look in that direction. Later on, quite a bit will still be planted, but that just has to grow over time.

leave part of it as a flower meadow? Mowing twice a year saves a lot of time and is a nice sight, would fit well with an established garden.

We'll probably do something like that. Maybe around the pond or at the back between the fruit trees. It's a rather natural garden, not an English lawn. But now we're moving in first and will observe it next year before putting our own stamp on the whole thing.
