The climbing wall is the front side of a wooden shelf - so made of wood and for wood. These are cross slats about 70 cm wide and 2.30 m high. However, the plant would have the official permission to colonize the back wall and the roof as well, as long as it is not in the way.

Toxic fruits that can cause vomiting and diarrhea, similar to wisteria. But otherwise, it looks good – although absolutely useless in my garden because it cannot tolerate cold east winds (which I would have quite strongly in the spot where it would otherwise fit).

Have you already tried this plant? We also have "cold east winds" and it has at least since August last year survived everything excellently. Region 0457x. I read about the wind susceptibility but still wanted to test it.

No, since already significantly more cold-resistant plants (on paper) including beech hedge plants, various perennials, and other plants have died in winter. Drying out is also an issue in winter. To the east, I have exclusively open fields (and then eventually wind turbines according to the wind).
