I only know the parts for burning out joints. They do not go deep enough to kill the root. In the bed, the heat must be very precise. I simply have doubts about that. I would weed and mulch.
Taking another look at the garden today.. Everything still looks very "sparse".. over the course of the summer everything will fill in :)

Really beautiful overall work, I also like your house.I think I’ve hijacked this topic.. ;) Today my tomato plants were finally allowed to move back into their summer residence... with good soil and fresh fish scraps. I started the cultivation on March 10th. Next year I’ll start the cultivation 2 weeks later, that’s more than enough! Here are a few more pictures of the garden. By the way, the garden is 4 years old! Everything planted by myself. Many plants I brought from our previous garden as tiny little seedlings and propagated repeatedly by division. It’s so easy and really saves money. I temporarily fill gaps with annuals like marigolds, petunias, calendulas, nasturtiums... Just throw the seeds in… works great. This year I started the petunias and marigolds early, so they have a head start and are already slowly blooming.
