Just document the poor condition of the neighbor's facade (with the unwanted window, if I remember correctly). All in all, it looks tasteful, but with the "natural" house and all that wood, I am still surprised at how much (at least visually) sealed surface you have. I can imagine a piece of lawn somewhere there.

We didn’t want a lawn. A larger area wouldn’t have been possible anyway, and such small patches of lawn are infinitely annoying to mow (I speak from experience – even with a small lawnmower it’s just a hassle).

The driveway is, as mentioned, an eco-paving, so nothing sealed. When it’s a few years old, moss or the like will hopefully grow in the (quite large) cracks. Except for the areas where the car tires prevent such greenery. That’s why we chose exactly this paving. We hope that in a few years it will look something like this:

In front, where only the excavator stands now, a lean meadow and perennial beds around the raised bed are planned and yes, that’s it. The corner out front is community land, where a meadow is normally planted. That fell victim to our construction, but we will sow a flower meadow there with a note asking not to mow it.
The access to the trailer parking space (and one of the required parking spaces) will also be filled with a lean substrate, where various thyme will grow as ground cover (where it’s not driven on).

Only the area under the carport is "densely" paved (but nothing would grow there anyway) and also the terrace at the back.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a plot for a park-like garden – nor a gardener for it.

Where the wooden terrace/balcony is or will be, nothing is sealed either, because it is open underneath.

You don't need gardeners anymore today, thanks to irrigation and the lawn mowing robot it's a daily joy to look out the window (even better in nice weather on the terrace)

Looks nice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t convince my wife about an untreated facade, so we greyed it. What kind of wood is that?

Here, the birds didn't go near the serviceberries at all, we were able to eat them ourselves.

Best regards

I am always fascinated by the "unregelmäßig verbretterten" facade. But I also really like the paving with the "Ausblendung" by larger joints towards the edge.
