I also have a question or rather a request for plant tips: At the exit to the garden, west side, I would like to plant something on the short side of the descent that will then climb up to the porch roof. It should be flowering and hardy as well. Do you have any ideas?

How much sun is there? Roses can be planted in pots depending on the variety, but they need to be quite tall if the rose is really supposed to thrive there permanently.

So I love wisteria - it's quite poisonous, but as long as there are no children around...? And it's very maintenance-intensive, it covers everything and crushes gutters. But supposedly you can keep it small. Hmm. It is certainly winter-hardy. Ivy or vine perhaps? You just have to prune everything into shape as well.

I would plant slender bamboo there. Something flowering can go in a pot in front.

I would not do ivy. You can't keep it under control in the long term, and then it will cover the entire house wall. If there is sun, a clematis could also be suitable.
