I am not threatening. I only stated that without approval the concreting cannot take place. But that has since been granted.

Regarding the missing coordination and delay, apologies were also made. The culprit is now the shell builder, who repeatedly failed to keep commitments. The general contractor even called the suppliers to check whether the shell builder had actually ordered the Poroton bricks, whether they would deliver them, etc. (liquidity). But they are supposedly also scheduled to arrive today. Because without Poroton it will be difficult to complete the upper floor within five working days, which is supposed to be finished by Saturday.

All in all, things went poorly and it is certainly still a coordination problem. But now it is also resolved.

Something like that can definitely happen a few more times, even with trades that the main contractor manages themselves. [emoji6] But then everything is fine.

I think so too. I also have no problem with it. The only important thing is that one always communicates everything promptly and openly.

The neighbor says the concrete mixer was already there on Friday but left without accomplishing anything. The general contractor said the concreting only took place today because the concrete mixer did not show up. Quite funny. Sometimes it’s probably good to have neighbors who watch the neighboring properties all day. Because he also told me that they rammed full force into the Poroton wall with the crane. He described the spot to me, and you can see some pretty serious damage there. I have forwarded this now and am curious whether the structural builder has informed the general contractor. We don’t want anything to have shifted that can’t be fixed by just plastering over it.

In our floor plan thread, I described that we have significant water ingress problems as part of the plastering work.

What particularly interests me now is what you have already experienced with the Halox boxes regarding condensation caused by the plastering work. The plasterers told me that larger amounts of water had come out of some Halox boxes, especially in the kitchen. They are now stuffed with foil; yesterday I noticed that water is actually still standing in the foil—water, not just moisture. On the other hand, I have no idea how water could get into a factory-installed Halox box in a precast concrete ceiling by any other means. Does anyone have an idea?
