Feedback on the Ikea kitchen

The dishwasher was actually planned next to the sink - from time to time we put things first in the sink and then into the dishwasher (when it's running) and I would rather not have to walk through the kitchen for that. Currently, bending down bothers us rather little - as I said, we are both not very tall, so it is not that deep.

I would prefer the tall kitchen cabinet wall with the protruding wall cabinet. The kitchen machine still fits there, the coffee machine probably won't be there anyway because the sink is on the other side. The coffee machine is therefore ideally on the peninsula by the wall, so it can be easily reached from the sink, but also well from the breakfast table.

I am small too! But I'll tell you one thing... Never the dishwasher below again!!! You just have to try it... It is so wonderful. One thing I learned from the last cake planning... Base cabinet with waste system and tall dishwasher are a must for everyone in the kitchen... It is such an incredible relief in everyday life. Compared to that, I don't find the oven above that important.

Ikea unfortunately does not offer wall cabinets with a depth of 60cm. There are top cabinets but only in 60cm and not in 80cm height (which would look asynchronous again)... but well, I will try to play around a bit more with the fronts - maybe I can still manage something.
The coffee machine was planned for the corner by the cooktop - the peninsula was supposed to be for the toaster (we'll see - maybe both will end up there). Being close to the sink is a must, otherwise it gets too messy.
The space under the tall cabinets is perfect for our flour mill and possibly a kitchen multifunction device or something like that

However, with an appropriate supporting structure, you can also hang normal wall cabinets flush with the tall cabinets. It shouldn't be any deeper up there anyway, because shorter people can't reach it. Nevertheless, there should be an attachment cabinet for refrigerators that is 60 cm deep. Basically, you could use any base cabinet carcass for that.

Elevated dishwashers are a DIY job at Ikea, since you first have to create a substructure, put the dishwasher on it, and then have further cabinet compartments above it, either with side panels on the right and left or tall cabinets on the right and left to secure these compartments above the dishwasher. Because for the dishwasher, a proper niche needs to be created so that it can be taken out again without dismantling the cabinets in case of repair. And, the dishwasher itself is already 60 cm wide.

I like the last result best. Are there maybe glass fronts for the wall cabinets? Or a wider wall cabinet (I can’t think of the right term right now, where you have to slide the doors) with two divided fronts?

Something like that would loosen it up again. However, I only know about the Pax cabinets at IKEA and therefore don’t know if you can get something like that there.
