Three high-voltage lines, one main water line, three water lines for other houses, and a sewage line for two other houses run through my land. All free of charge. I think that's enough.

Since the municipality doesn't really want to support us much now, I also don't see the point anymore. It has always been more of a giving on our part (including gifted land), but woe if you ever need something now.

According to the OP, the grandfather and previous property owner agreed. I would say it turned out badly. He took over the property with all rights and obligations.

Significant damage for what reason? That you can't plant huge trees?

Just post a floor plan including the pipelines. Basically, you are right. Nevertheless, there are certain exceptions. I still don’t understand what the big problem is. As long as you don’t plant a forest on it, everything is fine. Otherwise, deep-rooted trees and buildings should be avoided. Everything else is fine without permission. But even with a tree, no one will care later.

Exactly one plan is always helpful... if we had a bigger garden, I would definitely plant several trees there. And it would be quite p***ing if that wouldn’t be possible because of a cross (?!?!?) running line.

If grandpa only gave oral consent back then, are there any conversation protocols? Otherwise, people can claim a lot...

Oral agreement without a construction encumbrance in the construction encumbrance register and without a servitude? Not acceptable at all; it is worth less than a fig!

We would like to plant one or two apple or cherry trees or also build a garden shed. None of this is possible because the line practically takes up half the garden. I can submit the plan later.

No.
