Building a terrace from formwork stones

Yes, that is my house and it is a semi-detached house. statik wurde beachtet. The driveway was once planned but then put on hold due to Corona etc. Has no one here ever done something like this? Several craftsmen say that this project can be implemented without any concerns. And this terrace should not be dismantled either, a terrace like that is pure quality of life.

That is certainly feasible, but instead of sinking tons of material here, I would rather build something with wood or WPC on a few point foundations. Is there a basement window underneath now? Then you would also have to install a basement shaft.

I don't know whether that might possibly affect the neighbor's privacy if you raise the terrace. At least then the privacy fence would make little sense.

Yes, that is a basement window. We wanted to completely close it because the room in the basement is only used as a storage room and thus does not have much use. Exactly, the idea with the WPC decking was initially mine, but isn't something made of concrete basically more stable and also more durable? I mean sure, there are great things you can do with wood, but it also breaks more easily.

We would dismantle the privacy screen at the spot where the terrace will be and either build up a stone wall on the terrace or possibly keep the privacy screen as we also do not want the neighbor to see what we are doing on our terrace.

Don't terraces have to comply with the building boundary? Do you already have permission from the neighbor?
