I will of course be able to live with it and it certainly will not bother me anymore at some point or will not even be noticed anymore. I just find it a shame, as it could possibly have been avoided with more communication from the architect. I would not have thought beforehand that it would be such a mass processing where botching is done instead of working on sensible solutions. I would also have gladly paid more money for further architect consultations if I had been made aware of such problems.

Presumably, this is also the best solution. If you desperately add more bends etc. to redirect the pipe somewhere else, it probably won't get any better. In the end, it likely won't be noticed, and it is only a guest shower, which probably isn’t used daily like the main shower.

: I would be just as annoyed as you about such a pipe. At the same time, such a pipe solution is not a planning error or botched work in this area, but rather a cost-optimized solution that many would consider perfectly acceptable. Complaining now about how anyone could plan something like this and dismissing one's own responsibility to review the plans and ask questions seems a bit cheap to me. Of course, as a client, you can overlook something or forget to ask. But that doesn't mean others are incompetent right away. Take it like an adult who stands by their decisions and non-decisions. I would approach the builders for a solution. Once they know what is important to me, they will find a solution.

At the on-site appointment, I will definitely talk to the builders again. Maybe they can offer a good solution.

It is not even the only disturbing pipe duct. In the upstairs bathroom, the pipe for heating gas exhaust also runs along the exterior wall almost directly next to the bathroom window. There is also an ugly edge next to the window.
