The house is not new as such, but it is new to us

Utility room - Kallax shelves
Bathroom - Lillangen tall cabinet
Bedroom - Pax and Malm dressers
Living room: Besta + Sörvallen couch

We already have the furniture. But they are not yet 2 years old and will therefore of course move in with us.

Not too long ago, I would have also voted No.

It started for me with Ikea hacks for toddlers. The Learning Tower and then a children's kitchen made from Kallax. And yes, Kallax is really great for the price. The upholstered chairs can have their covers put in the washing machine. The Pax fits so well in the bedroom. The Ivar fits nicely under the stairs.

What I like about Ikea is the value for money, and no matter where you pay, it's always the same. What bothered me about furniture stores were the different prices and discounts. Soon it was like an Arab bazaar.

I think so too. Gordmorgon is reliable. I wouldn’t know where anything could break. Malm is cheap and serves its purpose.

With Kallax, Besta and Ivar you can craft well and put together individual furniture. Whether for niches or slants... they also adapt well to each other.

Steffen partly has things custom-made. I do like fitted wardrobes, but for everywhere that’s too finished for me. Eventually it gets too boring and I need change. Ikea makes that easy to implement. See above.

Soon I will expand our Nolte kitchen with Besta. I still need a half-high cabinet 60 cm wide... For that I will then use a high-gloss white accent with Besta wood... on the other wall there will also be a wall cabinet in the same look because of the repetition of the design ... then it costs 1/8 of what I would pay in the kitchen studio. The refrigerator is already moved, space has been cleared.

We don’t have that. We have one made from a 3-piece Kallax.

My sister (ground floor) and her daughter (upper floor) have just redecorated. My sister works in the furniture store and is quite knowledgeable. Still, neither of them follows every trend. They don’t have built-in wardrobes at all – they buy the furniture they like best and then wallpaper the walls around it. I think it’s totally great. I need to take some photos sometime.
