1. Why is it always expected that EVERY suggestion must be implemented? It has a hint of arrogance and overestimation.
2. Did I write anywhere in the initial post that I need help with planning? It was actually supposed to be a kind of builder's diary. But if it is not desired and used for trolling, then please close it.
What I don’t understand more is the third point: why some people’s learning curve is so abysmal that thread creators want the advice as an offer and not as a compulsory bundled package, from which they then must graciously accept all points. I am also happy to advise those people about their tile size who disregard my opinion about the superfluousness of garage connection doors.
I totally agree with you! For heaven’s sake, you don’t have to implement every tip 1:1, but they can certainly give you something to think about. There are many experts and those who think they are experts on this forum. You really must not take every post at face value.
In the end, you know the conditions on the property on site best and your personal habits, so you must not be convinced by everyone. Warning cliché: In the end, you live in the house, not the forum community.
On the other hand, a few suggestions are universally valid in my opinion and deserve to be considered. For example, the open plan room – as it stands in the floor plan in the initial post – is not exactly flooded with light. That hint can be picked up to work through the topic again with the architect.
Other posts here can safely be skipped.
If your intention for creating the thread really is what you describe, then I recommend writing a construction blog via Insta or a classic homepage. Then you will get no or significantly fewer critical comments and have a much wider reach.
