You are confusing refuting with sugarcoating or ignoring. :D The points I listed are facts because they are clearly visible in the floor plan. In the living/dining area, you have a "small section" where some sun comes in. That's it. The 3 m cantilevered pane in the living area never sees the sun. Light-wise, it’s like the north side. It is "bright," but never really bright/sunny. Solar gains, especially in the transitional period, are nonexistent. To be honest, it’s a mystery to me how people simply "smooth over" even obvious things.

Or you simply store up there only the things you need to access every few weeks. In winter, the summer stuff and vice versa, camping gear that shouldn’t go in the garage, guest beds, etc. That’s why you chose a bungalow, because you don’t want to climb stairs all the time.

That’s exactly why we are building a bungalow. Mainly the Christmas decorations go up there, so twice a year... otherwise we would just build a single-family house.

And you are confusing facts with matters of taste. What you like does not have to please others.

I already mentioned that in our apartment we have fewer windows and a covered balcony. Here there is enough light for us. In the house, we have more than twice as many windows and therefore it is brighter. That is a fact, but it is being ignored.

Forget it. Some people, or rather the OP, cannot distinguish between facts and opinions.
There are regions where the inhabitants see advice as paternalism and well-intentioned tips from decades of experience and study as psychological restriction...

And there are regions where if you don't blindly accept others' opinions, you are considered unable to handle criticism. And then insisting that their opinion is the only true one, there are terms for that too. As I have written many times, I read everything. Just because I don't accept everything doesn't mean I don't think about it.

It is your house and perfect for you! I also can't understand why people keep harping on it and think it's great that you don't let yourself be unsettled.
