The general contractor did not inform us that the exterior door would be installed along with the windows. Since this is our first build, we had the doors installed externally at a later date. The plastering was then only done shortly before the door (front). At the back, the wall was left out. About 3 weeks ago they came and plastered the rest. I assumed the company would cover at least 50%, since we weren’t informed. But apparently not...

Small update.

Today the driveway was inspected and the fencing/masonry. Prices in case anyone is interested:

- Driveway 4m wide €4,800.
- Fencing/Walls: €7,500

Terrace (50 sqm, would be somewhat larger) + earthworks (800 sqm would be dug once). Price approx. €9,600. The terrace will still be repaired. 2 stones are loose.

On Monday the interior doors will be installed and the holes for the LED spotlights finished. The ventilation system is also supposed to be installed.

The painter has been working for a few days and is filling + polishing Q3 quality, then painter's fleece and painting. At the end the matching baseboards for the doors will be installed.

I assumed that the company would cover at least 50% since we are not informed. But apparently not...

Why should the company voluntarily cover 50% or more of the costs?
