Use the excavation material for filling, that saves topsoil which you would otherwise need. Or is your soil that bad?

It's just forest soil. It's not the best for creating a garden. It is said to be very "acidic." Even though the neighbor managed to design a garden without removing and filling (he is a gardener himself and managing director of a landscaping company), I don't really dare to do that.

I will mention it to the excavator whether the excavated soil can be mixed with the topsoil, so that at least transporting it away is avoided and less needs to be brought in...

Ask and talk to the neighbor, he could be the best advisor with the experience of creating a garden. Maybe he has an apprentice and your garden is the journeyman's piece

I have spoken with him, very often. We have a very good relationship :) But he said he doesn't give advice, because if it doesn't work out, he doesn't want to be to blame :)

Is the construction road located on the later entrance/access? That can save a lot of work during dismantling and the entrance is much more stable.

Yes, that was also planned so that we lay the construction road in such a way that it will be used as the driveway later. The earthworks contractor will create the driveway (main road -> beginning of the property).
