After we visited the stove builder yesterday, we realized that there will be very little space between the stove and the low board on the wall (about 60 cm). The stove is 1.64 m wide (including shelves). Low board: 2.07 m. By extending the living room by about 2.5 m, we gain more distance but also more space for the dining table. Furthermore, it should get brighter without additional windows since the terrace roof will be removed. And we can also work with awnings, etc. when it comes to the terrace roof.

There were many recommendations, including to the twin ybias, but he is building exactly his own house and not the sum of all the forum’s recommendations

I have to say that we thought about all of them and adopted one (no side panels on the doors, thus a smaller hallway and a bigger guest toilet and pantry). Even if it doesn't seem like it, I am grateful for every suggestion; as long as it is a suggestion and not an imposition

I no longer do, chewing gums get an unpleasant consistency after a few hours and nothing more. Especially since, to my regret, secondly after the penny still hasn’t dropped that the fireplace and not the terrace (roof) should be crossed off the list; as well as secondly, although I had corrected this in post #69, the floor plan here is again recalled with north at approximately four o’clock. That would not even be true if the earth were flat. And mind you, with north at 12 o’clock (= “terrace” in SSW) one would also recognize the value of the roofing again!
