Oh, the bricks are from Eder - does that include Pumuckl? I think they look a bit silly there: you first have to clear them away to start building the wall.

I would seal them properly too. It won't hold long like that and you'll have dirt inside while building.

I don’t have to build walls  And yes, Pumuckl is included. All shell builders have to be red-haired...

My wife said the same. Strange, should I be worried?

I wouldn’t worry, nothing has happened yet.
With us, they were all properly sealed. During construction, a lot of dirt accumulates that you don't necessarily want in the pipes because it’s difficult or impossible to get out again.
If the general contractor doesn’t do it, I would do it.

I don't know the legal situation.
But overcoming a construction fence and/or breaking a lock might constitute aggravated theft and thus lead to harsher legal consequences.
There can also be insurance-related reasons.
Although many no longer take out insurance because it has simply become too expensive.

Insulation wool, XPS, wood, and styrofoam are scarce.
But why would someone steal bricks? (Effort/benefit)
You need to arrive with a 40-ton truck with a knuckle boom crane to load everything.
People would probably rather load a 500kg compactor into a 3.5-ton Sprinter and be gone in 5 minutes...
However, my building materials dealer confirmed to me that during the peak of the supply crisis, fully mounted ETICS (Exterior Thermal Insulation Composite Systems) were actually torn off the facade and stolen.
"Why should the customer wait, if Hassan has an order for 20k cash but no material available – you need a solution."
- that's about the topic

Nope, actually they are standing in the rooms, the walls are built around them.

best regards
