Just a small tip regarding the floor construction. Pay attention to doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. If you really only plan for a 1 cm covering and plan the doors and floor-to-ceiling windows accordingly, you might not be able to get any other covering under the doors and windows. In our case, the screed was precisely 2 mm too high at the sliding door, so I wouldn't have been able to get parquet underneath. And even with the room doors, the parquet just barely fit. According to the general contractor, I should have said beforehand that I wasn't laying tiles.
