With us, a pressure switch is to be installed because of the ventilation system, the chimney, and also the downdraft extractor with recirculated air. Does anyone have experience with this and/or have something like this at home?

Downdraft fan with recirculation is of course nonsense for the pressure switch. Or is it exhaust air? But pressure switch regarding the ventilation system is unfortunately mandatory.

That is not entirely correct. The chimney sweep said he wants either a pressure switch or a heat sensor. After consulting with the stove builder, he will install a heat sensor. This means that when the stove is running, the ventilation system will be switched off.

We had a picnic for the first time over the weekend. And the storage stove is also basically finished for now. When the ceiling has been installed, work will continue.

This week the general contractor will come and check/measure the screed. From next week the following will take place:
- Drywall construction
- Electrical (meter cabinet) is supposed to come then
- Installation of entrance doors
- Burying of the surface collectors.

Regarding the pressure switch, our chimney sweep has the same opinion that a sensor in the pipe is sufficient. I ultimately bought the set with pressure switch and sensor. This way, the sensor only gives the signal to shut off the ventilation when the pressure difference is actually reached and not directly 1 to 1 when the fireplace is operating. You just have to consider whether this more precise interaction justifies the price difference of about €150 to €700. (both wired). In the extreme case, the extractor hood, fireplace with fresh air supply through the floor plate, and ventilation run in parallel, and the pressure switch redundantly checks the values.

For me, it's a price difference of €85 to about €1,000. That's why we decided on the heat sensor. The fireplace doesn't run all the time anyway.

One more little "anecdote". Everything has been going too smoothly for us until now :)

Since last week, the drinking water and wastewater connection is being installed in the house. The drinking water went perfectly. After a long search for the wastewater connection and feedback from the office, it was discovered that despite the connection being marked in the documents, there is no wastewater connection on the property. Now a connection has to be made from the street (state road) to our property. I even called the office yesterday at 5:30 PM. Yes, I called the contact person at the office at 5:30 PM and he was there :-) He said it was their mistake. He has initiated everything / submitted applications so that the connection will be established. According to him, it will take about 6 weeks, but he is trying to shorten the time through direct contact with the processors. Oh, and the application was of course forwarded per mail...
