Construction of a 144 sqm bungalow in Fichtenwalde (near Potsdam)

We want a ceiling light fixture at the height of the chimney where a beautiful lamp hangs.

What is under this hanging lamp? Or just a lamp directly under the ceiling? I see both spot placements with the question "What are they supposed to achieve and when are they supposed to be on." I also planned 4 spots in my living room back then .. as an emphasis on certain furniture. These are the lights that practically only ever turn on briefly when I really have to take something out of the cabinet in the dark, which I really can’t see clearly with the rest of the light. I could have saved myself the spots too. Transferred to you .. rather a row of spots on the cabinet side. Sofa side ... rather wall lamps, floor lamps, etc.

They should be dimmable and provide some light while watching TV. We are not fans of wall lamps. There will be nothing under the lamp. The dining table will not have a fixed place. When guests come, it will be arranged differently than when we eat alone. The question would rightly be, why do I need ceiling spots on the cabinet side if there is a 65-inch TV hanging there that provides enough light and a fireplace next to it...

The ceiling spots at/above the TV can shine on the screen when watching TV, can't they? Then they might usually not be on at all. Also, you have to lower the ceiling for spots. I wouldn't like that (but I'm not a fan of ceiling spots anyway).

You don't have to lower the ceiling with us. Since we have ventilation ducts in the ceiling, there will be a 12 cm drywall ceiling anyway, which is completely sufficient for ceiling spots without having to do anything extra :cool:

The heating-up phase has been over since yesterday. 6,000 kWh are on the meter. That’s just under 2,000 €. I planned it that way. It’s clear that there will be more due to additional work :cool: Finally no more emptying the construction dryer and ventilating 2-3 times a day :) But it had one advantage, you had time to look at the house very closely :cool:

Is there a difference between your construction project and ours regarding the screed drying? I’m asking because of the big differences in construction power consumption. Is it due to the weather or what else could it be? I’d like to know so that I can mention this detail in the future when I state our construction power costs here. We had a mobile dryer from our construction manager for the screed drying, which "somehow" heated the underfloor heating ... as I said, with construction power.

for example, we have no ceiling spots installed in the living room at all.
A so-called pendant lamp with a large shade stands by the sofa and would illuminate the small tables in front of it. It is dimmable and adjustable in colors.
Additionally, there is a dimmable and color-adjustable LED light strip behind the sofa. The TV is indirectly illuminated from behind by the lowboard.
It can also be dimmed. This makes it very cozy and you can adjust the light accordingly.
