All right. The drywall ceiling, for example, hardly absorbs any heat. Thank you. My masonry heater has 4.5 kW over 8 hours. That means I put in 10.11 kg of wood once, let it burn for 2-3 hours, and the rest is released gradually.

Neubau2022 has an identical construction method as we did back then, also a drywall ceiling. And a masonry heater is certainly a different principle. I lack knowledge there. Neubau2022 has 2 large glass fronts. If he loads 3 to 4 pieces of wood and lets them burn properly, the heat escapes through these large glass fronts; it is about radiant heat into the room. Possible storage materials when enclosing/cladding the stove are not particularly relevant there.

I would call it experience. You always have the 500 degrees (assumption; definitely very hot :D) on the panes, no matter how you otherwise "wrap" the insert with the stones.
