We install glued vinyl throughout the entire house, including in the bathroom and toilet...

Berny, do you have a walk-in shower and is there vinyl inside? That was the point for us why we have tiles in the bathroom, so the floor including the shower is uniform.

We will also lay the same click vinyl flooring in all rooms on the upper floor, ground floor, and basement. Only in the hallway on the ground floor, the guest bathroom, and the bathroom will the same tiles be uniformly laid, and the technical room in the basement will have only the screed ground and painted. Thus, we have only 2 different floors in the entire house (if I don’t count the technical room).

We have laid the same tile throughout the entire house. I understand everyone who finds a stone/tile floor too cold. We always wear slippers, so it's not that dramatic. However, when I look at the advantages regarding cleaning/resistance, I am glad about the decision.

My cousin built a house 3 years ago with high-quality oak parquet. I was shocked at how it looks now... :O No one can tell me that high-quality parquet is as durable as stone or fine stone.

I would have liked parquet as well, or a cork floor in the bathroom, but in the end we decided against it and are now really happy about the uniformity throughout the whole house.

+1 per tile.

(On our ground floor and upper floor in 75 cm large format, wall and floor, also children’s room (but with a play rug (child 3.5 years)).

Durable, easy to clean (especially dust and electrostatics), no adhesive fumes.

And also extremely satisfied with one tile type throughout the whole house, especially in the bathroom (wall and floor), there with a 1.20 x 1.20 m white level-access enamel shower tray (intentionally enamel for the bright look and joint cleaning/maintenance is easier this way).

We had also considered installing vinyl throughout the entire house, but then decided on tiles for the ground floor and vinyl for the upper floor (except the bathroom, where there are also tiles).

I would be really annoyed now if we had vinyl on the ground floor as well. Although the vinyl wasn't the cheapest, it is clearly of much lower quality than tiles. Visually and in terms of feel, it simply cannot compare with tiles. Furthermore, I am unfortunately firmly convinced that it is not as durable as it is claimed to be everywhere.
A pair of scissors fell on it and now there is already a small visible and tangible hole in the covering.
I definitely didn't want vinyl in the entrance area (dirt, small stones, etc.). Besides, I wouldn't feel good later if kids were running around there with Matchbox cars or similar.

And with underfloor heating, tiles don’t feel cold either. We only move around the house in socks.
