Regarding product-specific questions, I can’t say much without extensive research.
If it’s only about certain lights for you, the Hue integration is probably the easiest. For the whole house, I would probably rather tend to star wiring with a central switching actuator from BJ.
Maybe you just start a separate thread about it? Maybe you’ll find more tips from someone who also uses Free@Home (We decided on native KNX, but we don’t live in the house yet).

So that's practically almost nothing if you consider three things: 1. in this example we are not talking about absolute prices, but the delta between the prices of the standard and the surcharge variant; 2. at the wholesaler you buy as a reseller, only the plumber or general contractor still has to factor warranty (including the risk that he might break the good piece during installation) into his price; 3. with the general contractor you also have the longest payment terms. With price comparison engines as a "benchmark," almost everything is actually extortionate. But reality is not a spot market. Anyone who wanted to day trade all their building materials would need a lot of time and off-limits storage and transport capacities just in time. That is not even worth it for general contractors, otherwise they would probably do it themselves. For a single-family house, you are definitely cheaper if you pay "more."

Alright, I understood the prices well. I just thought that a 30-40% markup for an electrician (not a general contractor/specialist contractor) would be quite steep. But if that's the case, then so be it. Thanks

Have you kindly asked if you are allowed to provide the materials yourself? I've basically sourced everything myself from rebar to bathroom fixtures. It's possible, but might be difficult with a general contractor.
Maybe he can even install it for you 'after hours'

One should rather ask the journeymen and not the masters...

We have chosen a WC flush plate, costs 133 euros online, our plumber has it listed at 249.57 € net in the offer
