The heating pipes will probably still be insulated, as we still have the insulation material and are not finished yet.

The furniture comes from Polish furniture makers. The kitchen without appliances and countertop + 2x sink base cabinets each about 2m without countertop, wardrobe + 2x built-in cabinets cost a total of 67,000 zl, which is about €14,500. Measuring, delivery, assembly all included. In addition, the natural stone countertops for the bathrooms and kitchen cost about €7,000.

I think it’s a very good offer. Just the sink base cabinets with a simple countertop would have cost about €6,000 at the bathroom supplier alone.

On the weekends, we started moving things from the apartment to the attic. Today the company is coming to measure the countertops (bathrooms + kitchen). At the end of the week, or at the latest the beginning of next week, the electrician will come for the last time and connect everything.

Which fairy tale book is this paragraph from? :) What is the distance in cm (45…50?) and how high are the upper cabinets? It feels like you can look over the top of the cabinet (with regard to the window and cabinet height).

We had talked about the fundamental imbalance between left and right, hadn’t we?! From what I remember, you or your wife aren’t the tallest… the two outer cabinets with the windows cannot be opened from the front, only by leaning over the countertop at an angle. Have you already tried to open them?

The imbalance is intentional and liked, even after the kitchen is assembled. Blocking off the other side was not an option, as that would contradict your statement that you can’t reach the upper cabinets.

Regarding the cabinets, the cabinet maker, my wife (1.64m) and I (1.91m) checked everything to see how we can reach it. If we built the kitchen based on my wife’s height, we could only make the cabinets, even on the opposite side, max. 2.00m high. You put things you use less often in the upper cabinets.

Even after the kitchen has been there for one week, we are more than satisfied.

I am 1.91m and cannot look onto the top sides of the cabinets. At 2.10m it might work.

The other corner to the right of the stove and the window made me think even more.
