Did they also break that down? I thought the floor slab, windows, and roof were already in place anyway.

He is calculating an additional charge for living space of x € x new sqm. He did not break it down. I just wanted to know if we could get by with 5,000 €, as that was our limit. The delay of the building permit and also the additional costs were good arguments against it.

My wife and I spent the entire evening yesterday arranging the furniture in the 30 sqm. Everything fits, including the distances. Only the fireplace needs to be smaller because the distance to the low board is too small. But that’s not a problem since our current one has a shelf and wood storage.

Well, I don't want to talk you out of it, but currently our fireplace is only about 40 cm away from the lowboard, and there are no problems at all. But a fireplace that is not too dominant might not be a bad idea.

We would now like to have one like that...

And the previous one is the sketched one.

We visited other clients yesterday who are also building with our general contractor. I especially wanted to check out the plaster Q2. It was as smooth as a baby's bottom. So more like Q3. I was quite impressed by the young couple (mid-20s) as well. They hardly bother about things like we do, they just build or have it built. House 188 sqm (there are two of them) without [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung], fireplace, and frills. But with a garage. Everything is running smoothly for them. According to them, a big advantage with this general contractor is that everything except load-bearing walls can be changed during construction.

So we remain very reassured about the decision for the general contractor and (im)patiently await the building permit.

That sounds very reassuring and speaks in favor of your choice of the GU
