There are, besides floor-to-ceiling and "standard" 90cm parapet height, also other variants. Also, especially children's rooms, etc., are usually brighter with a 2m wide window (about 120 cm high) than with a 2m high floor-to-ceiling element. Because the light simply comes in over a wider area.

You have to find a healthy balance. No matter how you plan, in the end it’s wrong anyway and people like to say: oh if only I had. We also had to get rid of and buy furniture. Overall, it turned out well. Cleaning is very important, especially with children. For the past 2 years, we have had window cleaners come twice a year. Two weeks later you see the [Datscher] again, as we so nicely say.

I see it this way:
I can easily make a floor-to-ceiling window opaque with film or curtain or something else.
I cannot just stick a window on a wall.

Yes, you probably shouldn't take the column too seriously. Some people overdo it with windows, especially floor-to-ceiling ones. If someone wants to live in an aquarium, fine, but I'm not an animal in a zoo.

We also have some floor-to-ceiling windows and I think it's great. They provide a lot of light and a nice sense of space. There's the couch in front of one, but that doesn't bother me.

If you have a 12m2 room, floor-to-ceiling windows don't necessarily fit.

Floor-to-ceiling windows are beautiful, they just have to fit.

In many new buildings, the windows are covered with tape or there are desks, dressers, sofas in front of them, partly a real planning mistake.
What is the use of floor-to-ceiling in the bathroom or in the children's room or study with the planned desk behind it
