Controlled residential ventilation + fireplace + kitchen exhaust, does it work?

The general contractor told us that too and then referred us to the chimney sweep.. That means with a room-air-independent chimney, the controlled residential ventilation would not experience any restrictions (turning off etc.)? Should I have the supply air "planned" or what exactly do I understand by that? Because exactly this back and forth, turning something on and turning something else off, etc., we do not want! Differential pressure monitor tells me then, now you have to let air in or what exactly is its function?

It depends on the controlled residential ventilation and the chimney sweep. So answer: a clear yes and no.
For us, the room-air-independent fireplace alone did not help.

Exactly, either through the chimney, or through the outside wall, or through the basement, or under the floor slab.

The differential pressure monitor is then connected, for example, to the controlled residential ventilation. As soon as a certain negative pressure exists in the living room (and theoretically exhaust gases are sucked from the combustion site), it simply switches off the controlled residential ventilation (but a connection to the controlled residential ventilation is also necessary, either directly or via switchable power supply). In the case of an exhaust hood, this must also be integrated, e.g., via window switches (or the differential pressure monitor switches off the controlled residential ventilation every time you turn on the hood). Recirculation, of course, works without problems.

Actually, your first point of contact should be the chimney sweep. Ideally, of course, you know which controlled residential ventilation you are getting and which combustion site you are planning.

Ok, then I will contact him, ours stays the same :D

There is no basement. But I'll say what makes the most sense for us!

At the moment I know that the controlled residential ventilation will be a Vaillant recoVair, but there are probably tons of different models.. We would like to have a panoramic fireplace again, which is operated with firewood/wood briquettes.

A stupid question, which may have already been discussed several times.. But is a controlled residential ventilation enough to get cooking odors out of the house faster, so that an exhaust vent might not even be necessary?

We have the setup: room air-independent fireplace, ventilation system, and recirculation hood.

You do get the smells out, but it takes significantly longer.

I have linked our ventilation system with the cooker hood. When the cooker hood is on, the ventilation system goes to the highest setting and runs for 15 minutes after switching off, then returns to automatic mode.

Is this done purely conventionally via electronic wiring, or do you need KNX or something similar?

So my Buderus has two possible normally open contacts. With the configuration tool, you can then specify what is connected behind each normally open contact.

I don't have a KNX home and solved it with two Shellys.

A Shelly Plug S is connected behind the range hood. This is a simple adapter that is just plugged into the socket. It can measure electrical power.

A Shelly 1 is connected to the ventilation system. It has a potential-free relay. That is the normally open contact.

The whole setup is then integrated on the Raspberry running Homematic. The logic then takes place there.

However, the whole thing could also be controlled via the Shelly own app using scenes. But I believe the cloud is necessary for that. I can't say exactly, as I don't use it at all.

There are certainly similar KNX components that enable this.
