Hanging house in the Southwest Palatinate - Our House Construction 2.0

So, we just went back to the house. Last inspection before the big day tomorrow. I don’t remember who it was, but someone wanted to see the entrance area once the tiling is finished. Honestly, I’m totally blown away and already love the tiles. We really stepped out of our comfort zone here. It’s one thing to admire a style on Pinterest, and another to actually say "we’ll take them" in the tile store. But I don’t regret it, my husband and I really like it. The bathroom again reminds me a lot of the bathroom from our first house. We only chose lighter wood-look tiles for the floor. In the last one, the dark brown created more contrast; this one feels a bit warmer. I liked/both liked them both.

The hallway is awesome!!! Super beautiful, the border with parquet was the best idea ever, with the tiles it would never have looked so harmonious.

I would close it up as high as possible. Otherwise, it would simply be too cold for me there. The showerhead also doesn't seem to be very large, to be constantly surrounded by warm water. That means the ambient temperature plays a role, and that is always a disadvantage with walk-in/open showers because the warm water vapor does not stay where you would like it — like in a classic shower enclosure.

But also: It's not a bug, it's a feature. If you enclose the shower completely, it also dries more slowly. That can potentially lead to (grout) mold. A slight chimney draft effect over the glass is quite helpful there.
