If you do nothing at all, it costs 0 euros, but it quickly becomes overgrown and because of the incline you can hardly work the area....

I also thought about something like a slide, would find that funny too, but as you say, it then goes directly towards the end of the property, which feels kind of strange. I think we'll build a sandbox outside, a mud kitchen, and a paddling pool in summer. But we won't set up many devices. We have a community playground just 30 meters away.

If the paddling pool should one day become a proper hot tub, please remember an extra power line and a wastewater line for water changes.

And if it goes to the end of the property, where is the problem to create a 2-seat corner. From down there you then look up. Maybe a grill added, etc.

And playgrounds nearby are well nice but there was a time not long ago when we were glad to have something like that in our own garden...

The problem would be that we would have to model a lot of terrain for that, for which we currently have no money. And I also believe that in the medium term I wouldn’t want to invest in it. Due to the excavation from the house that was spread across the property, it turned out that a flat level was created a few meters behind the building, and behind that the excavation was piled up and terraced over almost the entire width of the property. If I wanted to create a second seating area at the lower edge of the property, I would have to create a level surface there. That means we would have to move the excavation somewhere, and move very large masses of soil. Just for a slide, where a play tower with climbing frame & co. stands just a few meters next door.

Please make sure that your terrace is at least 5-6 m deep, otherwise it can become cramped at some point. It's really a pity when a large part of the expensively purchased plot disappears under a poorly usable embankment.
