I don’t know when this started to become ridiculous, I think somewhere between a six-figure order volume and infinity pool. But maybe we just do nothing at all, that then costs exactly 0 euros. :D Our contractor’s rough estimates were between 2000 and 16000 euros by the way. :p However, they had nothing to do with the slope. I probably won’t invest much in the slope because it actually slopes away from our terrace, so it doesn’t offer us much visually. We would just like to plant something there that can be eaten later. But that is not crucial in the first step. It would be different if our garden below the slope had another level, but that is not the case. Where the slope ends, the property also ends. The idea with the wooden edging in the picture much further ahead only stems from the desire for the terraced kitchen garden.

Nice idea, unfortunately the slope here goes in the wrong direction for that (away from the action).

I also thought about having a slide like that, I’d find it funny too, but as you say, it goes directly towards the end of the property, that feels kind of strange. I think we will build a sandbox outside, a mud kitchen and a paddling pool in summer. But we won’t set up many pieces of equipment. We have a community playground just 30 meters away.

And if it comes to the end of the property, where is the problem in creating a 2nd seating area. From down there you then look upwards. Maybe a grill added, etc. And playgrounds nearby are well nice but there was a time not long ago when we were glad to have something like that in our own garden...

The problem would be that we would have to model a lot of terrain for that, for which we currently have no money. And I also think I wouldn't want to invest in that in the medium term. Due to the excavation from the house that was spread across the property, a flat area has emerged a few meters behind the building, and behind that the excavation was piled up and banked almost across the entire width of the property. If I then wanted to create a second seating area at the lower edge of the property, I would have to make a level surface there. That means we would have to put the excavation somewhere, and move very large amounts of earth. Just for a slide, where a play tower with climbing frame & co stands just a few meters next to it.
